about

This is a slight revision to the original "So Late" recorded with Rob Giles and Peter A Barker in 2008. The mix and instrumentation is almost identical but slight changes have been made to the lyric and vocal recording. In Wonderlust EPs sold before July/August, 2012, the original version of "So Late" was available and on the album.

This version of "So Late" was mastered by Catharine Wood, Planetwood Productions (planetwood@gmail.com).

lyrics

You look up from your seat at the end of the bar
Watching the lights from the passing cars
They shine in the bottles and you sink like a falling star
Slippin away, slippin away
How did it get so late

The afternoon sun slaps you in the face
You hit your knees another unforgiven day
You gotta get home, where in the hell are you anyway?
Slippin away, slippin away
How did it get so late

So late, so late, so late, so late

You look up from your seat at the end of the bar
Watchin the lights from the passin cars
They shine in the bottles and you sink like a falling star
Slippin away, slippin away
So late
