about

This is a rerelease of the Wonderlust EP originally released in 2008. 1 track has been removed and So Late 2 is an updated mix of the original.

The original EP, Wonderlust, was a collaboration with Rob Giles of the band, "The Rescues." Vette and Rob cowrote the songs, and Rob produced the tracks with the help of Peter A. Barker of Threshold Sound + Vision in Santa Monica, CA.

Quotes:
"Her voice is like the time-traveling purr of Margo Timmins of Cowboy Junkies meeting the sexual-power and attitude of Deborah Harry. Her ability to craft perfect songs makes her a real, rare force to be reckoned with. I hope we get to make another record someday soon, and can't wait to hear more of what she comes up with." - Rob Giles, Producer/Songwriter/Bassist +Singer for the LA-based band, “The Rescues”

"Some records take you directly into an artist's personal space. They're delicate, edgy and unapologetic, simultaneously. Wonderlust is one of those records...The production serves each song perfectly and it's a great ride altogether." -Kathrin Shorr + Tim Burlingame of the musical duo, "Sweet Talk Radio".

“Vette’s music projects a calm confidence…You can sense the country, the torch songs, the Cocteau Twins atmospherics, the distanced/distorted production, and how it all comes together... The combination makes the music and performances …intriguingly timeless to my ears.” -Ned Raggett reviewer for the OC Weekly and the All Music Guide

“She has great instincts, and guts. She is also a rare individual: a talented and charismatic writer and performer.” - Bonnie Hayes, Producer, BonTone Productions (business partner), Songwriter “Love Letter” and “Have A Heart” were recorded on Bonnie Raitt’s “Nick of Time” album.

Track Name: Easy
The night fell open, you pulled back my curtain
found all the wishes i was hiding way
we wandered through daydreams uncovered
fell through each other and floated out into space

i want to go back
can't find the way
you can't or you won't i guess
you won't love unless
It's easy
easy

Last time i saw you, you were pullin away
you pushed me out and dropped me right off the edge
it's tougher when you're facing each other
facing that mirror and wondering how hard it'll get
i wanna go back
can't find the way
you can't or you won't, i guess
you won't love unless
it's easy
easy
easy

baby you don't know what you're doing
when you do what you - what you do to me
maybe this time you could try to hold on - hold on to me
hold on to me and tell me how to make it

Easy
Easy
Easy (you know i'd try if we could make it easy)
Come on let's make it, let's make it easy
Track Name: So Late
You look up from your seat at the end of the bar
Watching the lights from the passing cars
They shine in the bottles and you sink like a falling star
Slippin away, slippin away
How did it get so late

The afternoon sun slaps you in the face
You hit your knees another unforgiven day
You gotta get home, where in the hell are you anyway?
Slippin away, slippin away
How did it get so late

So late, so late, so late, so late

You look up from your seat at the end of the bar
Watchin the lights from the passin cars
They shine in the bottles and you sink like a falling star
Slippin away, slippin away
So late
